    Insurances

Hi all, We've been trying to work out but have come up short, whether we can use proof of no claims insurances like car, house, contents etc from Australia when we go back to the UK (both dual citizens and have UK bank accoiny that I've used for small transfers and purchases now and then). Thanks! G
  2. Hello all, I just wanted to ask about providing additional documents for the 801 visa- we processed the 801 application today and we’re expecting to upload again 888 forms, police checks and everything like this- the only recommended documents we’re social aspects - financial aspects and a few about name changes or marriage does this mean we should only upload what is requested or should we still upload everything as we did last time but just into the other documents option thank you for any help and advice
  3. Hello! I'm finishing my 801 application (I obtained my 820 in 2018) and I'm ticking off the list of documents to provide. My question concerns the stat decs. Now with my 820 my partner (the sponsor) and I each wrote a stat dec in "free form": we did not use a form or template, we just wrote a letter explaining the relationship and focusing on the four aspects - social, financial etc - that Immigration requires. But I see there is an official form for the sponsor (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form-listing/forms/stat_dec_sponsor.pdf) and I also read somewhere that a stat dec is not required for the applicant for a 801 (is that true?). My question is: is it better to ask my partner to fill the form rather than writing his stat dec, and do I not need to fill mine? Thank you very much!
  4. Has anyone uploaded emails as evidence of relationship and communication for the 100/309 Just wondering what the best way to do this is? shall I just copy and paste emails onto a word document or is there a clever link to transmit lots of emails? grateful for all info and other tips on evidence upload too

    Family unit evidence

Hi there, I am about 90% complete with my/our application and I am uploading the evidence and document scans etc. I find myself confused and a bit stuck with the Family unit evidence area. My wife is the lead applicant and requires no evidence [Family unit] I have uploaded, my Marriage certificate and our joint mortgage statement... BUT our 3yr old son has very little paperwork to support this aspect. This is what the 'Help' has to say ..... Provide evidence that you are a member of a family unit. This may include a certified copy of your family book/household booklet/family composition or adoption document. Information about which family members are considered to be a 'member of your family unit' for migration purposes is available on our website. I have never heard of these documents [ignoring the adoption document, which is irrelevant to us anyway], are we expected to pay for a Genealogist to create a family tree or something?? if I leave the subject 'blank' will I a) be able to complete and submit the application? b)be requested to provide this so called 'required' documentary evidence later? Hoping for some of your usually helpful guidance D
  6. Hi - I am an Australian Citizen living in the UK. My husband and I have been together for 12 years, married 10 and with 2 children who are also Australian Citizens. I am just about to apply for our offshore partner visa and I don’t know whether to pay for a Migration agent to check through my evidence, or whether the Immi account website is really helpful once you pay the $7,160. I would hate to attempt it on my own and get rejected on the grounds that my evidence isn’t good enough. However, I’ve scanned in; Bank statements, some Utility bills, all our ID, all our tenancy agreements and mortgage documents, cards sent to us, travel documents, photos, Facebook screenshots, our photography website, tickets to gigs, invites. Is the Immi account straight forward once you pay the fees and start uploading your evidence and how can you feel secure that you’ve lodged enough? Thanks, Rachel

    820/801 partner visa

Hi guys! My partner and I are looking into the 820/801 partner visa as he currently lives offshore in Wales. Due to this we dont have anything joint..no bank accounts or anything! Of course, when he moves across we will live together and we will put each other on our car insurance and as NOK etc etc. My question is, is transferring money between our separate bank accounts and evidence of shared household bills/costs enough to satisfy the financial requirements? If anyone else can give me some advice of evidence to use/what immigration likes to see it would be much appreciated! Im also wondering if screenshot of messages and emails are satisfactory evidence (social, commitment etc) or do we have to download them into PDFS somehow?
  8. Hi all. I am desperate for some help please. Visa 189 submitted 28.10.17 Last week we finally had communication from a CO. Requesting evidence of employment for me and form 80 for my hustand and myself. Looking through the formal request when it details certifying documents it is very specific in saying that it must be a person who is equivalent to a justice of the peace e.g. notary of public or a migration agent; but all other evidence already submitted was certified by a teacher which was permitted. I have emailed the GSM twice but I haven't heard anything back. Does anyone else please have any advice or guidance that you can offer. A notary public is not only more expensive but also a complicated process as she woild need to contact the source of all documents to certify them (8 years worth of employment in 4 different jobs). We are 7 days into our 28 a day limit to submit so I am very anxious about trying to get this done ASAP. Many thanks
  9. Hello! I'm starting the process to apply (online) for a 820 on the back of my PMV/300. Everything seems straightforward but I was wondering, since I already provided a copy of my birth certificate when I applied for the PMV, can I send the same document instead of requesting a fresh copy? The copy of the birth certificate I sent in my PMV application is dated from Oct 2016 - so over a year old, and I wonder if it'd be considered "past its date"? In my home country a copy of the birth certificate is generally considered valid for 3 to 6 months max... The reason I ask is because requesting a birth certificate in my (European) hometown takes a lot of time - they still don't do online services so you have to send an application by snail mail, and wait for your copy of the certificate to make its way back to Aus... plus I have to get it translated on top of that. So it can easily take a month or more and I'm a bit worried about the time frame! Thank you!
  10. Hi folks, So my partner and I are going to be applying for our partner visa within the next few months, and I'm just wanting to get ahead of the curve as much as possible with building up relevant evidence. One slight concern I have is that we're living together in the house which my partner bought with his ex 4 years ago. He doesn't have enough income on his own to transfer the mortgage into his name, and my understanding is that the bank basically won't consider my income until if/when I'm granted the 820 at least. The mortgage is still in the name of my partner and his ex so I can't really use mortgage statements or anything like that in evidence. We've already set up a direct debit for the weekly payment of the mortgage from our joint account into which both our income is paid. Do you think that will be enough to satisfy on that front? Thanks
  11. Hi all, My partner and I are in the process of applying for the 820 and have been living together on a de facto basis for 5 years. We have kept absolutely everything and we not short on evidence by any stretch. Should I be uploading every single joint bank statement for the past 5 years (as one documents)? Same for our phone bills, every month since we met? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Help With Employer Nomination

Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone out there is able to help me. I own a very small bricklaying company in WA and am looking to sponsor a British national so that he is able to stay working with me. I am trying to gauge whether or not I need a migration agent or whether I can work through the nomination process myself. I am unsure on how I would provide evidence for the following requirements (in terms of the format etc. as I know the immigration department can be very particular): evidence that the position is currently occupied by a temporary resident evidence of an increase in business activity (e.g. new contracts won) requiring workers in the nominated occupation If anyone can offer any advice around these requirements or just employer nominations in general I would be incredibly grateful! Many thanks in advance!
  13. Hi I read somewhere on the Australian Immigration website that 'required to demonstrate and/or declare that they have genuine access to sufficient funds to be granted a student visa. Applicants may have to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover these expenses for the first one or two years in Australia, depending on their assessment level' My questions therefore ( and I apologize if these are one too many) are: - Is the above also applicable in someway for the the below categories? Skilled – 189 Skilled –190 - Does any know if one needs to show any funds prior to VISA application? - What is the amount to be shown per person (for a family of 4 - Wife, 2 kids and self)? - Does the evidence have to be funds in my bank account or - can it be in the form of assets or - can it be the balance in account + assets? - If money is to be shown, does the required amount have to be in the account for a certain history say last 3 months or last 6 months? Any information regarding the all or some of the above would be really appreciated. Thanks ___________________________________________________________________________________ The trouble with cash flow is that the tide always seems to be going out!

    820 Evidence

I have finally finished filling out my part of the form. Anyways... I'm now concentrating on getting the evidence. we live with his parents and therefore don't have any bills in our name. We have very little out going payments except our own phone bills out of our own accounts. we don't have a shared bank account either, however he has sent me money in the past. how can we prove that we have been living together, his mom is happy for us to have a rent agreement as proof but do we need more? Thanks in advance. K

    Attaching Evidence - 2nd WHV

Hi guys, I've had a look through posts and I can't find anything similar so here goes. I've been asked to submit evidence to support my application for a Second Working Holiday Visa 417 which is all fine - I have everything they're asking for, but when I go to attach the documents through my ImmiAccount, there aren't any Document Types/Evidence Types from the drop down menus that match what I'm being asked for. Not sure if it's a case of selecting the closest matching thing or whether there should be something there on the application. I was wondering what others selected as Document/Evidence types if they've had to supply evidence? I've emailed them as well, but while I wait for a response, I figure I might get a faster reply here. Thanks for any help! -Kate
  16. Hey everyone, ive just signed up to this hoping for some advice. Back in 2012 I completed my farm work with one employer - I did 89 days mostly paid but some voluntarily. Recently I was in aus on a visitor visa but have flown to Thailand to apply for my 2nd WHV. I applied online - the day later I recieved an email requesting I upload more info to immiaccount (bank statements, job description etc). I uploaded all the requested documents as well as a letter from my employer confirming the dates I had worked and that I did paid and voluntary. It's been just over a week now and haven't heard anything - just wonder if any of you had the same investigation for extra evidence and how long it took for you to (hopefully) get your visa accepted? My boyfriend is Australian and just want to be back with him soon! Thanks so much, Zoe
  17. Hey I am looking into the skilled visa. But running into a few initial problems and need some advice.. I am a skilled painter, with no qualifications, just "life experience" so to speak. I am aware I will have to undergo a course or get my skills recognised. However PROBLEM.. My previous employer does not have "official letter headed paper" nor is he still in business nor did he pay me with payslips, was all cash in hand although I was through the books (paid tax etc) So I am wondering if a letter without "official letter headed paper" is acceptable signed from him and if a copy of my national insurance contributions from the time worked with him would be acceptable forms of evidence... HELP?

    Citizenship By Descent

Hi Everyone, I just have a quick question about a citizenship by descent application; I am applying for my 6 week old son who was born in the states. Does he get a certificate of citizenship once the application is approved? or do we have to do a separate application for evidence of citizenship? Thanks in advance
  19. Hey all, When nominating a person for the 856 would you say immigration will need to be shown evidence of training in the company. And if so does the amount spent on training need to be a certain amount? Are they strict on this issue? Did your sponsor need to show this when nominating you for an 856?? Thanks so much.

De Facto visa for British partner advice - evidence

Hi all, Looking for some general advice. I am an Australian by birth but have lived in UK for most of my life (31 years). My boyfriend and I have been together almost 2 years now and plan to move to Aus in about 1 year from now (hopefully!). The issue I am having is when looking at the immi.gov.au website and advice for de facto visas is that the evidence they want appears to be very specific. My boyfriend and I will not be able to provide evidence of co-habiting or sharing utility bills because we haven't/won't be living together fully before we move over as he is in the Army (and of course due to the nature of his job he is away a huge amount of time and stays during the week mostly on the base he works at). He plans to leave the army and so transferring to Aus army is not really a viable option, he plans to work in his trade in electronics. Does anyone have experience of a partner who has been in the services when they have applied for a de facto visa and if so, are there any alternatives to the kind of things that we could provide for evidence in lieu of those things we probably won't be able to provide? Any advice appreciated - many thanks
  22. Hi all! I am currently collating evidence of all my trade related work experience such as customer/client references, past employer references etc. and honestly consider my case to be a strong one. Our migration agent has informed us that as I have periods of my employment history wherein I was self employed. I need extensive evidence such as invoices/tax documents etc. Which is fair enough as I have many of each. They have also stated that I need to have a letter/written reference from 3 different builders merchant (materials/tools) suppliers for each period of my self employment. Does anyone else out there have any experience of having to get these? Or indeed any advice of how they have got round this requirement. Our agent informs us that a end of month credit account statement will not suffice, and that we must have a written letter/reference from the supplier. I can't really see any of the merchants I used, being prepared to write a reference. They'd probably laugh me out of the store. Is it really that important? Surely past monthly invoices, tool purchase receipts, skip tickets etc would be seen as enough!!! Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards
  23. Hi all I have been lurking for a while now, and thought I should say "Hi!". I have loved reading your stories and what you are up to in the UK or Australia. I also wanted to pick the collective brain about the statements relating to "Evidence that your relationship is genuine". I have worked most of it out by looking at this Forum, other Forums and common sense + Google, but am struggling with: Evidence that you and your partner have declared your relationship to government bodies, friends; commercial/public institutions or authorities; What sort of thing would cover this? Legal commitments that you and your partner have undertaken as a couple; For this I have given the example my partner being listed as beneficiary of my death in service entitlement. Is there anything else? I am clutching at straws with both of these! Thanks in advance VP
  24. Hi All, I just need someones advice basically to know if its ok to include an edited version of text messages for a de facto visa (subclass 300 offshore) than sending in the whole records?? Or do I include all of the records but just highlight the necessary things? I'm really unsure and need to know as soon as possible really!! Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks S
  25. Hi all, I am hoping for a bit of advice from wiser heads out there please. I am British and moved to Sydney with my NZ partner 2 years ago. After a great time in Australia we are keen to move back to London. The Unmarried Partner visa what we need. But I have a couple of questions surrounding that. 1. What is the processing time when we make the application in Australia? I have heard 3 months is the norm, but then was told 9 months. This is quite important as the visa conditions require I have a job offer back in the UK. I'm not sure what company would wait 9 months! 2. To make our rental application more appealing/competitive we just put the rental agreement in my name (less references and work for the estate agents to process). We opened a joint bank account when we got here and have bills in both our names coming to our home - will this be enough proof? Somebody said we need to have something documenting we are both at our address for each of the 24 months, but our bills come quarterly? Any advice would be really appreciated.
