Would appreciate suggestions for a good hotel near the airport - child & baby friendly . Would be interested to know people's experiences . Guest Scotinaus Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 Pretty sure there is a Hilton at the airport but if you're going to be there a couple of days you should definitely come into the city. Tell them you want a hotel room for x amount of nights and you should get one with a great rate. I'd head into Melbourne if only just for the night, catch the sky bus (that goes dirrect into Melbourne CBD to southern cross station) There are plenty of hotels not a far walk away. Once there you will have trams at your door step that will take you anywhere. Only advice is to stay away from Kings street on a friday and saturday night.
