Rubbidydub
Hi All Has anyone or does anyone no of people who have taken a Bulldog to Aus? We have a Bulldog "Margot" and have had a few quotes from animal carriers some have come back with negative responses saying that Cathay Pacific only fly bulldogs because all other airlines are non stop flights and wont allow short nose dogs on their flights. Bulldogs are high maintenance and im wondering if the flight of 24 hours and the lack of no human interaction would affect her. If anyone has any info or experience it would be great to hear from you Thanks on advance Marcus
Guest
You have limited options with flying a bulldog as many airlines refuse to carry them long haul now. Only a couple do so over to Aus. There is an increased risk due to overheating for these sorts of dogs. Have a look at this thread as it was recently discussed http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/pets/113954-anyone-shipped-pug.html

mj&db
My friend bought her Bulldog over from Canada with no problems! My friends boy doesn't do much so lying down in a crate for hours wasn't much different to what he normally does! He is an American Bulldog though so his features are not as strong as the English kind.....I think it depends on the general health of your dog and how bully he is (as in his regular breathing)....the crates and the holding on the plane are well ventilated and of normal room temperature.
