I applied to VIC for 176 State Sponsorship as a Secondary School Teacher on 5th November, first of all does anyone know how long that should take to get a decision? Then if that was to come through successful and we were to apply for a 176 State Sponsored Visa, which I believe is priority 2, does anyone know how long that is likely to process? I can tell you last year they already moved to ANZSCO code, and they did not have Developer programmer in .net from what I remember. why take the risk? it will take several months before they process your request - why lose precious time? I believe in the end the difference between CAT 2 and CAT 3 will be only around 6 months (as DIAC esitmates in their site), so why lose precious time waiting for SMP and then waiting for SS? I read that getting SS only takes about 6 weeks to process? Also - i won't have enough points for 175 unless i go take an IELTS exam.
