Guest rmansoor
Hi Rehman Congrats on the CO!! I filled in every date on my form 80. Either 'unemployed' or temping when I did some temping work for lots of different employers or 'travelling/unemployed' when I went travelling for a while. They just want you to account for this time - you might have been doing something else? Sorry can't help with the second bit - do any of your friends know this friends birthdate? Or could you provide another reference - or maybe just explain to the CO and ask what the options are? Goodluck Thanks VickyMel
Guest Choksy
hi, why not call DIAC and find out what's wrong with your application. Thanks for your reply.......I did call but there is a problem (i mean agent), whenever I call they don't give me any information.
Ezy Going
Thanks for your reply.......I did call but there is a problem (i mean agent), whenever I call they don't give me any information. Thats the problem with agents. We employ them to help us and speed up the process but they seem to be the biggest hurdle in e process...we cant communicate with D.I.A.C and if we contact the agents they don't give us proper response. :err:

Ezy Going
Till now I was patient now I am frustrated.....do you know when medicals+PCC going to expire if they dont make any decisions? Hi Choksy, The meds & PCCs both have a validity of 1 year. Hopefully you will get the visa before they expire. In some cases D.I.A.C grants visa even after expiry of PCC & meds if it is passed only 1-2 months time. Like a friend of mine (from Pakistan) in Cat 3 just got visa today (14th June) he had applied for 175 visa on 14th Jan & his meds & PCCs were done somewhere in April 2010. But he was granted visa today and his meds & PCCs did not expire, he has to arrive Oz before September 2011.

But D.I.AC mentions somewhere on there website that the Police certificates are valid for 1 year. But worst case is that they may ask you to arrange another PCC. Although I hope this does not happen but if it does it should not be a big problem.

On my PCC (Dubai police) they mentioned it is valid for 3months, I hope they dont consider that right? I think that what happens is that any police certificate is valid for different periods of time within the country that it is issued. However for DIACs purposes they consider all the certificates as valid for a period of 1 year. In reality all of them are only truly valid on the day they are written - something may be added the day after they are written...

Guest Choksy
hi choksy, I think you may call DIAC directly by providing your passport number and other details after several emails at last my agent got a reply from co...........its been 5months since we got co....as per co's response they could not finalize my case because my daughters passport is expired!!!!!!!! I can't believe this!! when visa appln submitted 2009, i submitted valid copy of passport but later in 2010 it got expired and i renewed the passport but forgot to submit new passport copy to diac. and that is the reason for delay...ooops, diac takes cream n cake for this!!:biggrin:
Taz2008
Hi Connie Just to let you know we have our meds booked to be re-done this Wednesday... our French police checks have been sent in and we are still waiting for the UK police checks and then that's it... the last hurdle will be done and dusted and hopefully no more hoops to jump through!!! Sorry I have not been around much but since the little man was been born there seems more to life than the Australian visa... cant believe we have been waiting over 3 years now! We are the oldest pink on your front page list! I hope we turn purple soon! I have scanned through a few posts and can say that I hardly know anybody on here now! All the familiar faces seemed to have their visa and moved on! I think I must be one of the last ones...lol Your thread is looking really good, seems like so many have been given visas over the last few months! Fantastic and congrats to those of you who now have yours! Anyway, hope you are keeping well... Best wishes:hug: Tasha xxx

Guest VickyMel
Good luck with the Meds Tasha (aka the oldest Pink in Cat 2!) I hope it goes smoothly and you can send them all in to your CO soon. Really great to see things start moving for you again - never thought I'd have got my visa before you guys - but then you have a lovely reason for the second part of that!
