Tamworth NSW

I have been to Tamworth with work. Its a small town compared to the big cities. I couldn't live as it is too small and wouldn't offer me enough stimulation. Though it depends on what your personal preferences are. However, if you want to buy a big house with a pool and plenty of land, you';; get more for $$ there...

We live about an 1 1/2 hours drive away from Tamworth. Its the major city for a wide rural area. I like Tamworth as it has good shopping and really good schools. Yes the real estate is good here with good $ value. Depends what you are looking for.

Hi,

My OH has been offered employer sponsorship in Tamworth NSW and I was wondering if anyone had any information or opinions on the area.

Thanks,

Maria.

G'day mate, know the place quite well and it is a very nice predominantly farming area to live in. The Peel River is subject to flooding in summer (dec-feb) so be aware not to live along the flat ground (Calala). The hill areas around Nemingha and Kootingal are very nice to live in.

Tha annual Country Music Festival is held in Tamworth every January.

Cheers, Bobj.
