HI RBP, both of us in Melbourne PSE amd Non DRC,hah

and when you nomination approved on 02-10-2012, did CO ask you to do something?

Fqyyyy I am waiting after my nomination approval on 02/10/2012 for my file to be looked into it I have not been contacted then after.My medical is going to expire in April which I have done for my TR 485 as well AFP already expired but I had one keeping with me if CO ask me do not know how long to wait!!!!!Thanx RBP

good luck fqyyy. damn urs pretty quick i applied in 15 june and haven't gor co yet. ye but my employer got one senior case officer. i am damn scared man .... Finger crossed every thing will be fine

good luck you too, and I need to wait 15 working days for new police check....frustrated!

After 7 years being on different visas finally this afternoon I have got my pre grant email.

I feel relief and wish you all the best... it will be soon for all of you guys...

my timeline was:

RCB approved on March 2012

Nomination approved on April 2012

Visa application subclass 119 applied 14 May 2012

Ack Letter received on 16 May 2012

Request renewing Aust police check on 11/02/2013

emailed to case officer the AFP 18/02/2013 2:30pm

Pre grant email received 3:50pm

Yes I can go to MRT ..but its gonna take 18 months just to open a file....and the fact is I can't wait 2 yrs for that :)

 

if your employer request to MRT by giving genuine reason mrt may give priority to the case just cheak mrt site

one of the reason ,,, can say that the business urgently need for cook as business is growing or give some medical reason to MRT that current cook or chef is not able to work fulltime,,, just think bro you would come up with something better then this....... best luk

Have a read back through this thread. It is what people on here have been told. The ones who they will even talk to, as if using an agent many have been told they have to get their agent to phone. The point of this thread is to learn from each others experiences. It is all there, it just takes a lot to look through it all.

As I said earlier today (which has got lost a few pages back) there is no way of knowing. It isn't even done on a first in basis. Melbourne is the slowest office. Drc doesn't seem to make a huge amount of difference. High risk countries are much slower, and cooks appear to be slower, but probably because more are from high risk countries.

If you have an agent then I would suggest contacting them to ask how their other applications are going. Any decent agent should have a few going through.
