This is a bright star since the recent changes for any skilled migrant.

This is actually not only the case for WA but for all other states as well. My sister who is working in Sydney always says that they need more skilled workers and because many companies aren't able to find the right people, they are forcing the retired to stick on. Unfortunately, even if they do stick on, the desired results are very difficult to achieve given the fact that age (I am talking of way over 60 years) does constrain anyone from a lot of factors, a few of which are new technology hitting the workplace, stress, etc. and this gets thrown back on the younger staff and they end up more stressed that they would be if there were other acceptable skilled workers in place.
