Guest claire146
Hi All, We are the proud owners of a beautiful Great Dane. Problem is she is crazy! She suffers badly from separation anxiety and I'm really worried about the flight (Her getting out of her crate basically). Has anybody got any advice on what might help put my mind at rest? Thanks, Claire
Guest brooksey
Ours German Shepherd is the same, but he's here ok now. He lost some weight but befrended our dog walker in quarenteen. Obvius answer realy, but wear a t shirt for a couple of nights to get your scent on it and put it in the cage with him. Other than that i don't think there's much else that you can do. Hope it all comes out great.
Guest The Pom Queen
Oh Claire this is a hard one, the usual meds like Clomicalm or Valiumn are not acceptable for the flight. I would like to know how severe her SA is. Have you ever had her in a boarding kennels, if so, how was she? It may be worth pre conditioning her to her crate prior to shipping, ie feed her in there, place her bed in there etc, she needs to associate it with a good place to be.
