My uncle lives in a two bed unit on a plot of 5. It's cosy but enough for him and his wife. I googled what a duplex is and it comes up as Duplex is fast becoming one of the most efficient and most popular types of residential construction in metropolitan areas. The duplexes were on the top floor and just meant that they were on two floors. Ooh la la, very posh with a view of the sportsground and river,- and a price to match!:rolleyes: Looking it up in our dictionary it says that 'duplex' means 'double' and can be applied to a house too. Regards Tony G'day Close, but not quite right. A duplex is one of two houses built on the same block of land. There is no requirement for the buildings to be adjoined. They can have a shared wall but it is not a requirement, and more often than not, don't. Okay, now does anybody want to guess what a triplex is?
