Guest troyski99
yes, somebody asked the same question in 1 of the seminars, the answer was "the government will look upon any medical condition in a finacial way, ie if the diabeties is non insulin dependant then its almost irrelevent, but because of the cost factor of supplying and administering the insulin then it would be an issue". But they would not give a specific answer as each case is different.
Guest Gollywobbler
Hi Lynne I don't know anything about diabetes but if you search on this site and on British Expats, I have seen LOADS of threads about it in the past. It doesn't appear to prevent people from passing the meds. I guess it might if it is causing really serious complications in some other way, but it doesn't normally seem to cause major hassle with the meds. The MOC would probably ask for an up to date report from the person's specialist (just because the MOC keeps half the specialists in the world in business by demanding unnecessary reports)but I wouldn't really expect much more than that. Try not to worry. Cheers Gill
