nick600
Hi Mark, We are at Peregian Beach which is about 10k south of Noosa. The place is Fantastic , totally the oposite of the gold coast though.Unlike the gold coast there are very few high rise buildings and there are not so many cars. Things are very quite and laid back up here and I would thoroughly reccomend it if you are looking for a quiet life and no hassle. If you need anymore info drop me a line. Guest markapples79
Hi Nick Thanks for the reply, I have been up that way a few times and that is what im looking for the Gold Coast is to busy and found it hard last time to meet people who live there full time. My only concern is that its to far away from my job, I work for a company who's office is in Nudgee which is right next to Brisbane airport. Would you happen to know how long it would take to get to the airport from your place? How are you finding meeting new friends? cheers mark
nick600
Hi, it takes 1 1/2 hrs to get from peregian to the airport if you wanted to be a bit nearer you could try moffat beach area you would do it in about an hour from there. Regardong making friends we have found the queenslanders very friendly but you do ahve to make an effort to socialise there are bbq's all over the beach area and a surf club in every town these are good points of contact with the locals , if you only want to mix with poms you will probably find you are a bit isolated. nick
