Hi Nick thanks so much for your reply. Sorry we haven,t replied sooner but we have been on holiday. Scott really pleased about the job situation and hopefully won,t have trouble finding one. It would be great if we could keep in touch for advisie. We had our medicals last Friday and hope to make the move next July. Been reading on all the suburbs on the sunshine coast they all seem so nice can,t wait to get there. Just a quick question would it be best to look up sheet metal firms and sent cv s just before we plan to leave and hopefully get a few maybe lined up or just wait till we get there. So many questions and worries.

Thanks again Karen and Scott

 9. Hi I live at Peregian Springs, just north of coolum. Brand new school where my kids go is great, very freindly locals, many expats too.jobs for teachers are very scarce so be prepared. jobs for electricians are plentyful but wages are not too flash. I have to work away(gas feilds) to get good money but 1 week on 1week off works very well. The area is really nice and worth a little inconveinience job wise, there are lots of parks/play areas for the kids plus a shopping centre with coles etc. the beach is just 2k's away and is lovely, parks and paly areas too and a very friendly surf club plus local restaurants ,shops and cafes in a small square. We have been here for nearly three years now and I cant ever see us living anywhere else.hope this helps in some way.
 10. Hi I worked on the sunshine coast as a sheetmetal worker for 2 years and there is plenty of work for good tradesmen, wages are reasonable too, but not near what you will get in the mining sector
 11. Hi PM me your C/V and I will see if it fits the criterea that my contact is looking for
 12. To be honest I'm not sure how you would fit in as a gas main layer, It's not a trade I've come accross , I would guess you would have to look at the construction sector. but wouldn't have a clue in which direction to point you , sorry I cant be of any help
 13. honesty is best and the sooner the better, If she's got a computer set skype up on it for her and get her used to using it before you go , if not buy her a cheap laptop, It worked for me, my parents took it so much better knowing they could see me whenever they wanted even though it was only through a screen. Hardest decision I've ever had to make but worth it. good luck
 14. Was on TV today the average wage in the mining sector is $120,000 (Quote from Tony Abbot, LNP) , I wouldn't be suprised if this is fairly accurate
 15. no not on the Gold coast thankfully,On the sunny coast and love it, very peacefull and only an hr from brissie if you want the high life for a weekend. would rather go back and live in England than live on the Gold coast. I have a mate that lives at coomera and he hates it.
