Are you going to work there too? Hi I am hoping to! I went round the place when i was there in may and it is a lovely hospital. i am a nurse not a midwife but have SCBU experience so it is an option for me, lovely nursery. if you happen to get a job at casey look out for my friend - zoe andrus- she arrived a year ago and just got promoted to clinical midwife and loves it so much. we trained together. what is frankston hospital like - as that is another option for me. I hope things turn out good for you. if we end up at the same place we must get together. good luck. Bonnie
Guest Carolm
Hi Bonnie its good to hear from someone who has been and seen the hospital. Good luck with your plans and yes, if we do end up in the same hospital we must get together. I'll keep you posted!! We are quite a bit behind you on the visa application/registration bit but our plans are to go out anytime from Sep 09 Carol
Guest ashmalog
Hi Carol we are hoping to be out there permanently by june 09 but that depends if the house sells, if not we will have to validate. my eldest son should start secondary school this sept in uk so we want to be out there before then - at least then he can move up with everyone else in melbourne. it is so frustrating. i have some contact emails for casey hospital if you ever need them and of course my friend is there - just pm me whenever. Pakenham is lovely and an area that we have considered along with Berwick, Narre Warren South. Lots of new housing being built in lovely areas with a nice community feel. We hope to be out there by june if not before sept. The housing market is holding us back. Let us know how you get on. Bonnie
TaniaColin
Same here, about house, once visa is granted we will have to seriously decide on what to do, will consider renting house out if we can afford to do it, certainly don't want to wait any longer now, have thought long and hard about the economy etc and just going to give it our best shot, can always come back and start again if it doesn't work out in Oz Good luck to you to Tania X
