motorbikes

Hi All,

i was wondering is it worth taking my hubby's motorbike with us, does anybody know how much it will cost etc. we are going to have a container for the rest of our stuff , so we just wondered wether it was worth taking it over or not and buying a replacement when we get there.

Ours went today!! We figured he couldnt buy a bike of that standard in aus and if he did they wouldbe expensive...look on tradingpost.com.au

 

what bike is it?? Tax is payable on the value

Personally i'd say it would be a fair bit cheaper to just buy a bike over here.

 

You could get a reasonable 2000 yamaha r1 for example for around $8000

Hubby and son both sold their bikes in the UK and bought again here, there are some bargains to be had out there especially at the moment. If you price it all up properly ,not forgetting to include the charges at this end for checks and conversations (which a few uk companys 'forget' to mention to us) you should be able to work out which way would be best for you. www.bikesales.com.au and Ebay are also good guides to prices

thanks everyone for info its made his mind to sell it here in uk then buy another when we get out to auz.
