Looking for the best bank account in Melbourne, Asutralia

Hello,

 

I am emigrating to Mebourne in May and am searching round for a good bank account. The ones I have looked at on the Internet seem to involve a lot of charges unlike the banks back here.

 

Also after my house sale I am looking at a reasonable profit and wasn't sure if I should transfer all the money over to Australia straight away or leave some of it in the UK where I can access it on the net and transfer it over as and when I need it. I suppose I might get more interest over here but will end up paying a lot of bank transfer fees.

 

Can anyone : recommend anything ? :wink:
