I was living in Paddington in 2011 and fortunately our place was on a hill, but we knew plenty of people just a stone's throw away who got flooded - some of whom ended up in our lounge for a week! It's impossible to imagine it raining that hard for that long. It was nothing short of biblical.

When we came out in 2006 we stayed in a place in bellbowrie and I remember seeing pictures of the floods and it was under water😲.as you say,so hard to imagine that amount of rain and water.

The surprising thing was that suburbs you wouldn't imagine could get flooded (like Stones Corner and Coopers Plains) because they were far from the river were inundated, so just bear that in mind when you're looking at houses in areas that are flat.

Here's a video clip I filmed on the 16 December 2010. It rained liked that for the best part of a month until the city was flooded on 11 January.
