However, I have a friend in Sydney who is a special needs teacher. She has been in Australia on a PR visa for 4 years and still can't get a full-time job in special needs (she has been working all this time, but as an ordinary teacher). Have a look at sites like Indeed.com or seek.com to see what jobs are advertised, it will at least give you an idea of which State seems to have more job opportunities.
