Adele Akid
Hi I am looking at transferring my NHS pension over to Australia. Has anyone done this and is there a specific pension scheme /company it has to go into to avoid double taxation ? thanks Adele
Marisawright
It's not at all easy to transfer your pension over to Australia and if you do it wrong, you can lose thousands of dollars in tax. Don't believe any pension/superannuation fund that offers to do it for you. Also, avoid anyone who is offering "expat" services because you are not an expat, you are a permanent migrant, and that means your needs are totally different. I suggest a consultation with @Andrew from Vista Financial as a first step, then you can decide where to go from there.
rammygirl
I don’t think you can transfer an NHS pension. Call and ask your pension office, if the answer is no that’s that.
