Gail Patricia
Hi! I managed to finally get a visitor visa 600 processed in March but was still unable to get permission to travel. I now have plans to visit early next year but need some clarification on how long I can stay. The visa allows stays of up to 6 months so if I travel, for example, a month before the expiry date, can I stay in Australia for the remaining 5 months? I'd be very grateful for any advice. Thanks
rammygirl
As long as you enter by the last entry date yes you can stay for the full allowed period. Unless there is a must leave by date which I have not heard of you will be fine to stay beyond the expiry. Read the conditions of the visa carefully. Nyxkat
You can also apply for the travel exemption multiple times without penalty.
