Rawkus
I have an HNC in construction management. Has anyone got experience in using this in Australia? Whether this can get recognition or if i would need to do the equivalent courses again over here?
Baby Pom
When did you gain this qualification? Unless you are just starting out in your career, I would think employers would be more interested in your work experience and any trade licences you hold. Jsmull87
You would probably have to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning against a cert IV or diploma. Theres plenty of companies that do it but it costs.
Rawkus
I contacted Builders Academy as I thought that would be a good place to start but they don't do this and was just trying to talk me into doing a course.
Rallyman
They won’t accept uk qualifications to get any trade licence over here , you can use it to get equivalent but it all costs money. what type of work are you looking to do and which state ? Rawkus
I just want to get the equivalent if I can and take it from there. If I was in UK i'd try to get into Health and Safety. No idea about here though. I'm a bricky and just want off the tools, I'm in Melbourne.

Basically you will have to go through a training Organization that would use your uk qualifications in RPL if you chose that path be careful who you go with , might be a idea to contact master builders or HIA and have a chat with them for best options as I know in nsw they are very fussy who’s RPL they will except to get licensed. Rawkus
Thanks, I didn't know that. Thought there would be one way of doing it. There's so many third parties.
