Evidence from Before De Facto Relationship Established

Hi all, hoping to get a little advice on evidence for partner visas.

My other half and I have been together around three and a half years, and living together/in a de facto relationship for about 20 months. We're gathering evidence to apply for a partner visa.

Would I be right in thinking that we should take as much evidence as possible from the past 20 months (when living together), and not worry too much about the preceding year or so before that? I assume bringing examples of the financial aspects of the relationship up from when we weren't at the appropriate "status" isn't really worth it. I've been invited to her friend's weddings, but if this happened before we moved in, is it somewhat irrelevant?

Thanks a lot in advance!
