I have degree 'Bachelor of Computer Science' which is a 3 years degree program. My partner and I have a competent English. My brother lives in Melbourne ad he is a PR holder. As per my understanding Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are excluded as regional areas. So my question is can I apply for 491 subclass VISA under my brother's sponsorship? Not to put a dampener on your aspirations but ICT Support is one of the most competitive career options for immigration, without superior english I doubt you would ever come out of the 491 queue. The difference between the 491/190 and the main 189 is that the states get to pick and choose based on criteria they set (rather than being restricted to pulling the best scoring individuals in the way the 189 works). Given that an ICT Support Engineer will have to have frequent conversations with other colleagues I can't see a person with "0" english points ever being selected by a state to apply unless there were no other options in the queue at all I would concentrate on improving your English score as otherwise you are likely to languish on the EOI list for a very long time 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
