Hello, I am living in regional QLD with 489 visa, and I am thinking for buying property in regional QLD, is that possible or not? And also if possible how much will cost extra than Australian permanent residents, if there any hidden cost ? Please advise me , it will be really appreciate thank you

You can buy a property to live in, but you'll have to apply to the FIRB for permission and the fee is a few thousand dollars.   Then you will pay extra stamp duty on the purchase.  

For example, say you buy a place for $350,000.    A permanent resident would pay about $4,000 in stamp duty.  You'll pay about $28,000.
