Adonnus100
Hello all. I have a friend from Russia, she works as a hairdresser and is hoping to immigrate to Australia at some time in the near future, possibly using a territory (ACT) nomination. She has under 3 years of experience, she is 20-25 years old, she has fluent English language skills with almost no grammatical errors, she has a Bachelor's degree equivalent, and she is single. I ran it through some points calculators online and got results from 60 - 85 points depending on which one I used, and which Visa (85 was, I think, for the upcoming 491 regional visa.) My questions are: what is the best option? Is it worth it to hire a migration agent or nah? Is there anything else she could/should do to make this stronger? Thank you everyone for your replies. wrussell
May I suggest that your friend consult one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum for an assessment?
Marisawright
A few years ago, I'd have said she didn't need an agent. However, the government now has a habit of changing the rules and playing with points, and I think it's too hard for the average person to keep up to date - so an agent is always a good idea. Ross1988216
It depends on which areas she can increase her points, for example, better English language test results ETC. Happy for you to PM me
