Does a handicraft artisan have any opportunity there in Australia?

I wonder if an artisan working on bones, horns and woods can have any job opportunity in Australia?

My wife is in Australia. She is doing her masters degree. I have a dependant visa and I am going there after a couple of months.

I think you will need to set yourself up as a "sole trader".  You will need to get a ABN (Australian Business Number).   I don't know whether any businesses have a need for such skills, but perhaps you could have a market stall, and perhaps create a website to sell online?

I have came across an information that if unless I have a business transaction of certain amount like 75k annually then only I would be eligible for getting an ABN (is that right ?)

Anyone can get a ABN. You don’t need to earn a minimum amount. 

I think you may be confusing it with GST. That’s a tax which you have to pay if you earn above a certain amount
