pugwash
So we are here as a family on a 457. I am the main applicant. I have applied for Citizenship (I only recently found out (whilst already working in Australia) I could Citizenship get through mum via - child of former Australian pathway). - no residency required! So what happens to the rest of the families 457? I presume it gets cancelled when I become a Citizen. Do her and children get bridging visa automatically? Or does it not happen until I apply for an onshore spouse visa? Anyone been in a similar scenario? Thanks Edited September 17, 2018 by pugwash edit
Nemesis
No-one can get a bridging visa until there is an application lodged to bridge to. And even if a spouse visa application was lodged, if the existing visa is cancelled (rather than expiring naturally) then any bridging visa would go with it I would get some professional advice fast, certainly before the 457 gets cancelled
