14th Dec for us.

I saw the December visa on the 489 so looks like they've finally broken the December barrier!

Hi there,

Can someone please advice on whether I will be eligible for high points migration for 190?
1. I have been living in SA for the past 5 months and am working in a skilled occupation on the supplementary skill list.
2. I have a positive Vetasses outcome and have 5 years of work exp (overseas) and 1.10 years of work experience (Australian)
3. I have competent English, but am planning to redo my PTE to get 20 points if possible.
4. with that I will get 80 points - so does that mean I can apply for 190 now or do I have to still work here for 12 months and only then apply.

Please share your experiences and suggestions.

Thanks

@JonandSophietravel Congrats guys!!! Looks like Dec applications are being smashed!

How long were your PCCs valid?

We got them done mid-December as well. Didn't want to worry about CO contact so got everything front loaded. Bit of a risk but very happy with how it has turned out.

Hello All,

Thank you for the huge haven of support and information.

I have been following this thread for a while with the hope of nominating an occupation on SSL for high point nomination, but as luck would have it my occupation has been moved to SOL.

I have a successful assessment from EA as a chemical engineer, however my Job title state "Laboratory Engineer.", just curious if this is really important for successful nomination like Vetassess assessment or not.

Also, tried submitting my EOI earlier today for SA against 3rd of July but the EOI calculator does not recognise my degree and my points breakdown is short 15points and I was able to submit eventually. Anyone experiencing this?

Thank you.

Hi @JetBlast ..... plez if you could help me with this basic query

if I apply by September, when can I expect an invitation, my skill list is available in state nominated occupation & supplementary  skilled list as well.

the web says 8 weeks processing time, is this for the invitation or visa grant or both.

hope to read you soon mate

cheers 🥂

We finally got our grant today. Lodged December 17th.

Direct grant 2nd July

Family of 5, 190 visa.

So happy, final month felt like a year knowing they were going to slow up due to end of financial year.

Good luck to everyone else waiting. Fingers crossed for you all.
