You need to start reading around the homeaffairs.gov.au web site at the 190 489 and 189 visas. First look at the skills lists to see if his occupation is on any of them and if so, next to the occupation it will list the skills assessing authority, look at their web site to check if he can pass the skills assessment.

If you have already read the website you will see that if your husband gets a visa then his dependents (you and the child) are included in the visa.
