nich
Hi guys, My question is We were granted our 457 in July 2016 but didn't start work with the company until beginning of September. The company has agreed to nominate me for permanent residency but we are unsure of how soon we can apply? Is it 2 years from the date of visa grant or from my first day in actual work? Thanks in advance
MaggieMay24
You must have worked for 2 years on your 457 before you are eligible for the Temporary Resident Transition stream, so it's 2 years from your first day of employment.
Samson
Agreed with Maggie and also be aware as part of the 457 nomination they will have a copy of your contract so make sure them dates match up with the 2 years and don't lodge even 1 day before as it will be refused.
