Cerys89
Hello, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the write place but I'm hoping someone may be able to help or point me in the right direction. I am in the process of applying for a 189 visa (invitation received and filling in the forms at the moment) for me and my fiance. We are both in the Army Reserves in the UK and are not planning on leaving until we have our visas and are about to leave. The website says that you need discharge certificates for military service but we obviously won't have these to supply with our application. Has anyone else had a similar experience and provided other evidence? Thanks in advance
Sandgroper
Hi I had left the services so had my discharge papers, but whilst I was researching visas I came across some similar questions from people and I believe it was a case of getting a statutory declaration done stating what type of contract you are on (open I guess) and notice period required this would need to be signed by your CO and then witnessed by a JP etc.
