partnership Posted April 6, 2018 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Long story short son is on temporary partner visa, they have got mortgage approval and offer accepted on house. Now the lawyers are saying that they may have to pay an additional surcharge because he is not pr or citizen. They are in Queensland. has anyone come across this or have any advice. DeeTowers Posted April 6, 2018 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Make sure you contact the FIRB to check because if you purchase a home and you need approval but didn't get it they will make you sell the home. I had to get FIRB approval as I was on a temporary visa and it was $10k for approval.
