yogi
Hey everyone, i received an invite to apply for the 190 state sponsored visa (NSW) today, and just wondered about front loading with medical and police checks etc. I’m in the U.K. so was looking at Nuffield Health as they do fast appointments with all the things required for the visa, but just wondering if it’s possible to get the Health check without my visa HAP number, and also if it’s worth it? Does it actually speed up the visa processing time? thanks!
scubacam
Hi. You have to use very specific places for your medicals. I think there’s one in reading area and one in Kensington. You can’t just go anywhere but the info is online. To give you a heads up on time - we were invited late last year paid on the 1.1.18 and still haven’t been asked to take our medicals and when I log on it’s saying 9-12 months. Depending on how quickly you can move out there be careful doing your medicals too soon. Once police checks and medicals are through you get a year to land from that date. If you do this too early you are shooting your self in the foot if your visa comes through in February 2019 and you medicals expire in March! VERYSTORMY
Front loading does not speed anything up as they just sit there until the time the case officer would have requested them. If there is a delay in processing it can result in having to redo them. Also, your first entry date is the date of medical or police check, which ever is earlier. So, it can result in having very little time from visa grant to making first entry.
