187 Visa Processing Time

Congratulations to everyone who has had their visa granted! Long process with good news at the end!

 

Ive been using the forum to track everyone's progress and get some useful info for my application which has been really helpful.

I can't remember the exact dates for rcb advice but was sometime in July. Which was approved about 2 weeks later. My employer lodged the nomination on the 12th September and I lodged my application on the 23rd September.

 

This is is going for the position of Equipment Hire Manager in the Darwin area. I have 5 years previous experience within the job, 20 months of which being for the sponsoring company. Applied with all documents that I think I needed attached before application including my medicare, and have attached UK and Australian police checks in November.

 

Havent heard of anything yet but will keep you all informed of any updates I receive. Good luck to you all and happy holidays!

Hi Kenichi, my visa was lodged in paramatta on Aug 21st, my migration officer says it averages on 4 months for the visa to be approved, I'm still waiting now at 4.5 months...

It's a painful wait no as far as I am aware decision ready was removed December 2013 and they are not been allocated by date lodged... I could be wrong but my MA never mentioned decision ready process.

Hi did you apply 187 through direct entry stream? Which reginal area did you apply for? I failed to pass RCB twice so that I am currently on visa 457. My lawyer says that he will apply for me in three months later as I could show RCB my payroll receipt during that time. By the way, My job is sales and marketing manager and I have got a master degree in business.

I'm so happy you got your nomination. A 2 week difference between us and we both applied on the same day! Fingers crossed for our visa approval! I'm getting a little crazy waiting:twitcy:

New year will bring happiness for all of us.nomination and visa applied on 28 August.nomination approved 12 dec.co asked for medicals,pcc and form 80.all submitted today.fingers crossed.anyone in same boat.gud luck

I did apply decision ready on 13 sep 2014 and rcb approved on 2 October 2014 din heard anything till today don't know what's going on there.

Sorry but there is no decision ready application exists these days.department has stopped decision ready applications in 2013.

but I think u dnt need to wait too much.you will get response in couple of weeks.gud luck

I knew that has been stopped but what I mean is my MA submit all the documents at the time of lodgement. And later week he asked to do medical,pcc, form 80 and all submitted. Will see its big anxiety.

If he asked for all those a week later it isn't the same as decision ready anyway. Everything had to be loaded all at once, including medicals, police checks and form 80.

Stressing out guys, it's 28 days since my CO asked for additional information and I've heard nothing since. I'm 4.5 months waiting, my MA told me there was just no updates and to wait, can anyone give me any advise? Is this normal or should I be worried? Appreciate any help!

I think there is no such thing as "normal" these days. Even my MA said that it is taking longer than usual. If I have to guess, there are more applicants than usual and/or their workload has piled up so everyone's process is slowed down. Also, I've noticed that if they ask for additional documents, that causes a drastic slowdown in the process.

 

I'm wishing and hoping you find out soon! I can only imagine how hard it's been for you to wait so long. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks ncombe! A few people told me when they ask for additional info it's near the end of the process, my MA wouldn't confirm this so i don't know it's true or not, the amount of money we pay for these visas you would think immigration would have more staff it's really frustrating that my MA won't enquire or request a push on my case as she said it slows it down more:( I hope you get yours soon:)
