My Ma told me that the 24 months work before apply 186 shoud not include the unpaid leave. Annual leave and business trip is fine. As long as you are paid when you leave.

Hi guys this is really urgent if anyone can reply to me.

Before I lodge my application, there couple of times that I had to use unpaid leave (I had some family members back in my country who got surgeries and terminally ill and it was their last wishes to have me around) when I applied for PR it was my 2 years anniversary and the MA agent we worked with didnt warn me about anything related to unpaid leave.

Now they called me and told me that unpaid leaves maybe a problem and I may need to withdraw my application. Does anyone know anything about this or what I can do ? The time I took the unpaid leave was a really bad period of life which some of my family members were in hospital and I had to go see them as I said.

I had 457 and transitioning to 186.

Any help would be really appreciated if you know anything about this.

you will lose money if you withdraw. And your ma should pay for it cause its their fault. Did co request docs related to this?

My MA says it didnt occur to them to check this and they never checked it before.... They tell me if I withdraw my application they wont charge me consulting fees (maybe because they didnt do a good consulting) and they say we will need to pay for nomination and visa application again. It's like a joke...

CO hasn't seen the leave information, my MA submit it today with a letter from my side saying the leave was used for family reasons and I was wrongly informed etc.

I will decide the withdraw or not depending on COs decision on that.

@Mannsaab. I have got a Bridging visa but it states that" THIS BRIDGING VISA IS NOT IN EFFECT BECAUSE YOUR TEMPORILY BUSINESS VISA IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT" because I still have 2 more years on my 457 visa. so do you think I am still eligble for medicare card?

That doesn't matter you just take it to center link they ll make it for sure

@Nasir

Yes you are eligible to get medicare. I am in same boat as you and i got my Medicare card. Bridging visa is not active because your 457 Visa still active. So it does not matter. Just take the Bridging Visa letter along with valid Passport and application form and you will get your Medicare..

Good luck with the process.
