Martinbjulieb
Hi, we have been in Perth for 9 years and are moving back to the UK soon. We have maintained our bank account and had money paid in every now and then from relatives, we have also used it when we have been over for holidays. Will this help our credit rating when we return? Interestingly we had a £6,000 overdraft put in place when our house sale was going through in case we needed extra for moving before the money cleared in the bank and that is still in effect!! They must trust us! Thanks
Simpson boys
Get on the electoral register asap when you return. We returned after 4 years here and when I tried to apply for a mortgage it took 3 attempts to secure one. Apparently being on the electoral register is one of the key requirements

Guest
You will probably find it isn't too bad, we maintened bank accounts and credit cards in the UK for the five years we were away and were able to get a mortgage as soon as I had a contract for work. Take out a trial 30 day Experian membership to find out your credit score, it tells you ways to improve it too - electoral registry is important as Bungo says. Weidly you would benefit from having debt and paying it off, credit card?
