Jennifer Crisp
Hi Everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me answer this question? I came over on a prospective marriage visa in November 2015 and am now on a bridging visa A (so have to apply to leave the country for holidays). I have been on this bridging visa for about 3 months but wondered how long the wait is to temporary resident? I have recently been asked for more information for my 801/820 but I am unsure if the 2 years is to become a temporary or permanent resident? Any help or rough time frames would be great!! Thanks in advance, Jenni
MaggieMay24
The process from 300 visa to 820 (temporary) visa can be a matter of weeks or sometimes several months, there's really no way to predict. You can then submit more evidence 2 years after applying for the 820 to be assessed for the 801 (permanent) visa.
