  1. So I’m english and hubby is Australian and I’m in Australia for the next year or so and am having a baby here. I want my baby to have a UK passport as well as Australian but not sure how to go about it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  2. Thanks for your help! We have over that in savings and good jobs here and I can get my old job back in London and we would never look to be on benefits. he doesn't have ancestry so we will have to go down the spouse visa route. Is it hard and how long does it take and any idea on costs? Does any money in Australia count or just UK? (We have both but just asking)
  3. So me and my husband have been married for 1.5 years and I've been in Aus 2 years. We are having a baby in April (fingers crossed all continues to go well) and we want to go and live in UK (im english) when baby is one year old. He can't get a working visa so what visa can we get and how hard is the process?
  4. Hi Everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me answer this question? I came over on a prospective marriage visa in November 2015 and am now on a bridging visa A (so have to apply to leave the country for holidays). I have been on this bridging visa for about 3 months but wondered how long the wait is to temporary resident? I have recently been asked for more information for my 801/820 but I am unsure if the 2 years is to become a temporary or permanent resident? Any help or rough time frames would be great!! Thanks in advance, Jenni
  5. Hi all, I am living here in Brisbane and I want to transfer over my UK savings to my Australian account, but my card reader doesn't want to read my card and my bank (RBS) seems to be enjoying the fact I cannot move my savings and will not offer me any alternative other that ordering a new one (7 days to UK address then however long to get over here). Are there any banks in Australia that use card readers as the exchange rate will not be in my favor soon due to the EU referendum. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you, Jennifer
  6. That sounds about right! Thank you. I have a lot of waiting to do!! I'm getting used to this waiting...
  7. Hi all, I have moved to Australia from London last month on a PMV and am a little unsure on the whole process after we get married, to gain me residency. I wonder if anyone could give me any advice on timings and processes? I went through an immigration lawyer to get the current visa but am trying to save a bit of money now! 8. Hi all, I am looking to move to Australia with my partner. We have been together nearly a year and he has stayed with me in the uk now I am here on holiday to see him for a month. We are wondering the best visa to apply for as aren't married yet. I'm going home in a few weeks and ideally would come back for good early next year but we don't know if we should register our relationship, apply for a fiancé visa or get married and do we need to do anything while im here now. Any advice is appreciated! Work wise i cannot get a skilled visa for 2 years and I'm over 30! Thanks
