robswife
I've had a quick look on the UK website and can only find information on exchanging a Australian full license for a UK one and that costs £43 http://www.gov.uk
Bungo
hi anyone know how long you can drive in uk on p plates or do you need to take new driving test thanks What do you mean? There is no such thing as P plates in UK. People display them on a purely voluntary basis sometimes, but there is no legal meaning.

People display them on a purely voluntary basis sometimes, but there is no legal meaning. I think the question was whether you could exchange an Australian provisionary licence for a full UK one? Or whether you can drive in the UK on Australian provisionary? Is there an amount of time you have to have held your licence for before you exchange it or use it in the UK? I doubt you could hire a car, and you would need to check the insurance very carefully.
