Dave tropz
Hi Everyone!! im looking into applying for my citizenship soon, and I hear that you have to have a certain type of person as like a reference?, like an engineer, a doctor etc.... And hey have to be a friend!!. I think it's the "identity declaration" Me and my partner have lots of Australian friends but non of them have jobs on the approved list!!. Just wondering what has other people done if they have experienced this problem??
Bungo
It isn't a reference, it is just somebody to witness your signature. The list of people that can sign is quite long.

Croft
Can be your dentist, GP, tax accountant etc. as long as this person knows you for at least 1 year Which is a big problem with the 90 day residency waiver. Luckily we knew an Australian from back in the UK who was on the approved list and had known us for a few years.
