How did you find getting a role are they similar to UK posts in practice? I am in my late forties and hoping to emigrate to OZ. I have been advised I may only be able to get at 457 employer sponsored visa, not my first choice. VERYSTORMY Posted February 27, 2016 Share Posted February 27, 2016 That is probably due to age as most people can't get enough points for a skilled visa after the age of 45. I am a UK OT and I am going to Oz in July, I have PR and my skills assessment but now I have the task of arranging OT reg and getting a job and from what I have been reading its not looking as easy and as straight forward for us lot out there! I have heard it is quite tricky finding an employer who will support the 3-6 months practice audit that I will need to complete for full registration, and wondered if anyone has an experience of this or any advice to help me prepare?
