wellquickwoody
Hi All, Will be emigrating to Melbourne later this year under the contributory parent scheme (visa class143). As I/we will be effectively buying permanent residency will I be able to start a retail business almost immediately? Secondly, just how big is ebay in Australia? Now enormous in the UK, less so in Europe, what are the pros and cons in Oz? Thanks in advance, Paul.
Parley
It may be just me but I think ebay has peaked and not as big as it was 5 years or so ago. Although people still buy from it of course, but there are so many other alternatives online as well.
blossom
eBay is nowhere near as big here as the UK. If you have work rights on your visa then you can start a business. You'll need to apply for an Abn number and register your business name.
