partnership
Is there any benefit to applying for a temporary parent visa over a permanent one? My understanding is that both are applied for offshore anyway. Do they take the same length of time?
MaggieMay24
AFAIK, the only real benefit of applying for the temporary parent visa before the permanent one (vs. simply going straight for the PR), is the ability to split the payment. So rather than paying almost $50K in one shot, you can split it into two parts..
partnership
Thanks so no real benefit other than money.is the full fee payable up front and if you don't get do you lose your money?
MaggieMay24
No, the majority of the fee is paid when they're ready to grant the visa so by the time that's requested, you can pretty much safely assume it's been finalised.
