skippy79
Now that there is only one quarantine site in Oz and most people settling outside of melbourne/vic, I was wondering if someone else can pick up the dogs to forward ship them? We've found a company that do door to door transport, but can remember reading something somewhere ( spending way too much time looking up things  ) that the importer has to be the one to pick up the dog. Is this correct? thanks
DianaK
May be you can put your name c/o the company that do door to door transport? Call them to confirm as it is so new, there will be hardly anybody that knows what the rules will be after November.
pmckin14
We used jet pets to deliver our dog from melbourne to adelaide, they sent us a consent form to sign that allowed them to pick up the dog from Melbourne. I also emailed quarentine to confirm they would be collecting the dog but I think the consent form alone is sufficient.
BobPetairUK
Exactly that. You need to sign a consent form to allow someone else to collect your dog for you. It happens loads and is pretty simple. If you are using a company, normally they will have a template ready to go for you to fill out and return
