bristolman
Dont let others rain on your parade...from reading, you will/can have a fab life here:cool: Why do you always react like this if people are trying to be pragmatic, it isn't raining on anyone's parade at all. All I see is sound advice.
Jacaranda
And it does rain in Oz too!As much as I love Adelaide (and SA)when I was back for 3 mths last year (albeit it was from early June-early Sept)felt like I was living through a monsoon!Of course SA needs the rainfall,I've never complained about that, but in SA atleast, there are quite a few days per year when its nigh impossible to be outside. Its diff up on the east coast though!(I think?)
MARYROSE02
I really don't think Australia has changed that much since 2000 despite what people say. Maybe in the West but you are not going there. I would look a bit closer to Brisbane if it were me, or even North NSWales because I would be a bit nervous about work on the Sunny Coast and Gold Coast but if you are planning on a recce that will give you that info. I am sure you will be just fine, you only live once as they say. It has not changed much since 1978!
MARYROSE02
Tell a lie. It's a lot easier than in 1978
