Charlie m Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Hi could someone please tell how much it is going to cost for my wife and I to move to Australia our son is a resident we are hoping to apply this year I have searched and searched every possible web and can't find how much you pay it tells you how long you have to wait I know you have to send off one amount for both of you and then it is so much each for the last part I know about health checks police checks but trying to work out the full cost is near impossible :confused: Many thanks Charlie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However a quick summary is easy to get by sending an email to parents@border.gov.au For applications lodged now the 2nd visa application charges are[TABLE] [TR] [TD]SECOND VAC[/TD] [TD]Principal applicant[/TD] [TD]Spouse/Dependent 18 years plus[/TD] [TD]Dependent under 18 years[/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Subclasses 143 and 864[/TD] [TD]$43600[/TD] [TD]$43600[/TD] [TD]$2095[/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Subclasses 173/884 T- P[/TD] [TD]$29130[/TD] [TD]$29130[/TD] [TD]$2095[/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Subclasses 143/864 T-P holds a 173/884[/TD] [TD]$19420[/TD] [TD]$19420[/TD] [TD]NIL[/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Subclasses 103/804[/TD] [TD]$2065[/TD] [TD]$2065[/TD] [TD]$2065[/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE] The above fees are in addition to the first application charge which is around $3000 and Assurance of support which is $10k(1 parent) or $14k(two parents applying at the same time) is given back to the sponsor after 10 years. PS: They are currently assessing for finalization applications lodged on 11 September 2013. So a 18+ month wait after lodging your application.
