Scuffe
Hello everyone My wife and I have finally decided to look into emigrating to Australia. I am 39 and she is 35 and we have two young boys of 3 1/2 and 6 months. I work in I.T. and my wife is a solicitor so looking forward to see where this takes us Shaun

fifi69
Unless you already have your visa sorted, then the migration side of the forum is great for getting helpful advise. but...for a bit of comical value, and to get a grasp of what life is really like on the other side of the world, pop in and join the fun in news, chats dilemmas plus chewing the fat. where is it your planning heading to?? VERYSTORMY
The first thing to think about are visas. Both of you may be eligible as the main applicant, but you will need to research. The starting point is immi.gov.au the other thing you need to research is cross qualifying for your wife. It is likely to take a year minimum. starlight7
Do you have to study again or will your law degree be ok here?
boganbear
Your wife won't be able to practice without re qualifying and being admitted to practice and Aussie law firms don't use paralegals in the same way as English ones
