Hi all

What's involved in family sponsorship my partner has family in oz we have had a looked on Google about it but don't come up with much he can apply for a skilled visa as it's on the skills list but we was just asking to see if it's easier and quicker and what's involved in family sponsorship.

Regard.

A skilled visa would be quicker and easier. A family sponsored visa - 489 - still requires an occupation on the SOL list - the CSOL would not be sufficient - as well as all the normal hoops to jump through. In effect, all a family sponsorship would give, is some extra points. The 489 has a longer processing time

Nope definitely not quicker and easier. In fact harder and slower would be a better way to describe it. And it leads to a worse quality of visa. If you don't need it, then don't do it.
