Think it may have something to do with the heat. In the UK I recall the salon that I used to go to for sugaring used to use wax when the weather was really hot. I find sugaring much less painful than waxing and my skin does not react so much. I have had some good and bad experiences here with waxing, one girl bruised my very badly at the top of my legs.
