Anyone have a clue as the main criteria for inclusion within the statement? I don't see much indication on the Immigration websites. Any guidance is appreciated. Ozmaniac Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Your post is very confusing as there is no requirement for a 'character statement' for either purpose. If your son is eligible to apply for citizenship by descent and if he is under 18, nothing is required about his character. If he is over 18 he must provide Form 80 - Personal particulars for assessment including character assessment and he must also provide original penal clearance certificates (PCCs)from overseas countries if, in the last 10 years: he lived or travelled overseas since the age of 18 years or over, and the total time spent overseas added up to 12 months or more, and the time spent in any one country was more than 90 days, or he is requested to do so by the department. http://www.immi.gov.au/Help/Pages/character-police/requirements.aspx PCCs http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/80.pdf Form 80 As far as character is concerned for your wife's Partner visa, she must also provide PCCs as above. Yes, I thought as much - I didn't think it was that hard to pick up on, obviously others did But, just so you know it's not a visa you son needs.
